At MatoGreen ("we", "us"), we are dedicated to safeguarding the privacy of our users. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the Shayef pivot irrigation monitoring app.

Data We Collect

  1. Account Details
    Your email and encrypted password, used to authenticate you and give you access to your account.
  2. Irrigation Equipment Data
    To provide the app's core functionality, we process data from your center-pivot irrigation equipment: GPS location and rotation status of the pivot arm, power/movement state, and related alerts (e.g. stopped pivot, no water/power loss, off-track). This is data about your equipment, not your personal location — the app does not track the location of your phone.
  3. Device Notification Token (FCM Token)
    A unique device token provided by Firebase Cloud Messaging. This is used solely to deliver push notifications to your phone when irrigation events occur (e.g. pivot stop, power loss, off-track alert).
  4. Push Notification Endpoint (UnifiedPush)
    If you don't use Google Play Services, the app can instead deliver alerts through UnifiedPush, an open push notification standard. In this case, a push endpoint address and encryption keys — provided by a UnifiedPush distributor app you choose to install (e.g. ntfy) — are used to deliver the same irrigation alerts described above.
  5. Usage Data (not yet collected)
    We do not currently collect usage analytics. We plan to introduce basic usage data collection in the future — such as pages visited and features used — to help us improve the service. This policy will be updated, and the effective date above revised, before any such collection begins.
  6. Downloaded Files
    Reports you choose to download (e.g. PDF or Excel exports) are saved to your device's local Downloads folder. These files stay on your device — we do not access, read, or transmit them elsewhere.
  7. Cookies & Local Storage
    The app uses cookies and local browser storage to keep you signed in between sessions and to load your dashboard faster. This data is stored on your device and is not shared with third parties.

The app does not collect payment information, the precise location of your phone, or camera/microphone data.

How We Use Your Information

  1. To provide the service — authenticate your account and display your pivot data.
  2. To send push notifications — deliver real-time alerts about your irrigation system.
  3. To improve the app — analyze usage patterns to fix issues and add features.
  4. To comply with legal obligations — if required by applicable law.

Third-Party Services

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (by Google) to deliver push notifications. Your device token is shared with Google solely for this purpose. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

If you use UnifiedPush instead of Google Play Services, your push endpoint and encryption keys are shared with the UnifiedPush distributor app you selected, solely so that app can relay irrigation alerts to your device. We do not control this app; its handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy. Learn more at unifiedpush.org.

Data Security

We implement technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted passwords and secure server communication. Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us, after which your data will be removed from our systems.

Children's Privacy

This app is intended for adults managing irrigation systems. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
